N+B 011: Panda Riot Flex-Disc

Amanda In The Clouds

The opening track off of Panda Riot's new album, Northern Automatic Music, is one of the best jams you'll hear all year. This is the first in a new monthly flexi disc series that we, at N+B, are kicking into gear, and we couldn't be more honored that Panda Riot are the debut dispatch!

N+B 010: Videotape Cassette

This Is Disconnect + 4 EP

1st Pressing: /100

A cassette re-issue of Videotape's 2012 effort, This Is Disconnect, with an added four song EP to sweeten the pot. Just between you and us, this band is one of the best kept secrets in Chicago. A shame, really. People should be running their mouths more!

N+B 009: Cinchel Cassette

Sometimes You See Yourself (Through The Cosmos)

1st Pressing: /100

Cinchel's hour long sojourn into a land where singing wine glasses and treated guitars form peaks and valleys that rival the pulses of dying stars and slowly imploding planets tens of millions of light years away. All heard through an echo chamber that could wrap around the world one thousand times over.

N+B 008: Magas Cassette

Pspoilers

1st Pressing: /100

Marlon Magas going haywire on the A-Side with a 30 minute long Arp jam that slays. The B-Side is a live set from last year at The Burlington and gets downright dancey!

N+B 007: Winters In Osaka CD

Only Pressing: /100

A split release between Notes and Bolts and Winters In Osaka - the only CD you'll likely ever see come off of our label, but in this case, the exception was worthwhile. Acoustic picking juxtaposed with meandering electronics and static noise make for one compelling listen!

N+B 006: Verma Cassette

Coltan

 1st Pressing: /100

Recorded for Vice Magazine's Guide To The Congo, Coltan finds Verma dispensing of their more straight forward krautrock leanings in favor of desolate sounds and tonal stretches that work their way across the hot rocks beneath the blistering Suns of far off lands where water is a luxury, food is a pipe dream, and everything is deadly.

N+B 005: White City Rippers Cassette

Old-Timey Mad Scientist Music

1st Pressing: /100
Comes with MP3 Download Card

This two person duo bend and shape classic tunes into other century monstrosities, sounding like what would have happened if Suicide had been transplanted from the seedy 70's streets of NYC into the dank confines of a late 19th century saloon. Beware, all who enter.

N+B 004: Pink Frost 45 rpm Vinyl
The Sun b/w You Should Know

1st Pressing:
Forest Green/100
Lavender/100
Black/300

A pensive Wintertime tune on the A-Side from the first incarnation of the Frost followed by a moody stunner on the B-Side from the present day incarnation. LP coming this summer from us here at N+B, in collaboration with fellow Chicago heavyweights, BLVD Records.

N+B 003: Chandeliers 45 rpm Vinyl

Unheard Intensities b/w Time Drive

1st Pressing: Seafoam Green/100 - Black /400
Comes with MP3 Download Card

If Prince - in his pre anti-gay marriage while yanking his videos from YouTube days - had joined up with NYC dance machine DFA, this single, by Shape Shoppe based Chandeliers, may have been the result. The A-Side is hard driving without any loss of melody, while the B-Side is a minimalistic affair that lurches across its 5 minutes towards a satisfactory climax. Get on it!

N+B 002: Pink Frost (f.k.a. Apteka) Cassette

Gargoyle Days

1st Pressing: /100
Comes with MP3 Download Card

In late 2011, a band called Apteka released this record onto the world by way of beautiful, black vinyl. Now, under their shiny new moniker, Pink Frost, N+B are proud to give it a second lease on life in the form of this cassette. A modern shoegaze classic!

N+B 001: Plastic Crimewave Sound 45 rpm Vinyl

A Dream You See b/w Tears For Reep Daggle

1st Pressing: Seafoam Green/100 - Black /400
Comes with MP3 Download Card

"On the A-side: CRIMEWAVE crafts a Bowie-esque piece of floatation with help from Tsuyama from ACID MOTHERS TEMPLE. On the B-side, PLASTIC CRIMEWAVE SOUND mine a dreamy soundscpae that are hazy and hit the spot just right. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!" - Reckless Records
